So, to understand this post, you are all going to need some back story.
Alright, I rarely, and I mean rarely, get sick. Of course, I get the occasional headache, but I rarely get very sick. So, I take for granted my good immune system. On Thursday of this past week, which was something like the ninth, I was listening to this song by Disturbed called Down With the Sickness, and the very next day, I was sick, which is kind of ironic.
I really had to go to school, and even though I felt miserable, I went so that I could take the three quizzes I had to take that morning. But, after third period, I knew there was no way that I was going to make it all day. I couldn't see straight, I couldn't walk, in fact, it probably looked like I was drunk. I was also freezing, but everyone kept telling me how hot it was that day. I asked my teacher in fourth period for a nurse’s pass, and when I got there I found out that I had a fever of almost 102 degrees, and I went home.
I no sooner got in the door before my older sister was pushing medicine down my throat. Then I was quarantined, which stunk, and after getting a bite to eat, I fell asleep. I woke up four hours later, and my head still hurt, so I took a couple of pain relievers, and after a while I was feeling fine. We went out to eat that night, and I was coughing a lot the whole time. My throat still hurts. Well, we came home and I took some motrine, and then I fell asleep again, but I didn't sleep that well.
Of course, I can't be like normal people and sleep in on Saturdays, so I had to get up at 8:30 in the morning. I was coughing all day again, but I didn't feel lightheaded till I came home from working on my merit badges. I earned two that are required for my Eagle scout, which means I now have enough to be a Life scout, which is cool.
Well, I still feel really bad, and I officially hate being sick. I hate missing school, because then I have to make up all that work. So, I'm hoping that I'll be better by Monday, and maybe I will become immune to this strain of whatever attacked me and won't have to deal with it again for a while.
