Closing Up

Well, I came home.

Camp is over...Thank God. (Seriously)

Well, closing the camp is killer. Even worse this year then last, because this year we were pretty much done on Saturday. If you don't know, that's the day that the last campers leave. We worked until nine that night. I got the SPECIAL jobs. I got to go clean the latrines (big holes in the ground with toilet seats over them). Then I got to scrub the trash cans. Then on Sunday, I had the amazing opportunity to be voluntold to clean the showers.

Week eight was pretty good, though. I had an awsome troop to site guide, though there were only four boys. They were fun, and I think they really looked up to me. They asked for my mailing address before they left, I'm expecting a letter sometime soon. I taught them how to play poker, and Texas Hold'em, and Blackjack. That was fun. They built a bridge. It was pretty nice. They were also exceptional at folding tents. The tents that they folded were better then the tents that some of the staff folded.

My area, however, was chaos this week. On the five mile hike we took this week, one kid got a nosebleed. While I was helping him, we were stopped for about ten minutes, two kids got into a fight. I had to break that up, and separate them. That was fun.

All in all, the summer was pretty good. I had some good times, and I got screwed over quite a bit, but it was alright. I'm not going back next year for sure, but maybe the year after next?

Welp, that's about it. I haven't had time to write anything, so, I've got nothing else.

Later,
Joshua
