Midnight Musings

Well, I just got off of work...a half an hour ago. If you haven't looked at the time tag yet, it's 12:00 am. Yeah, and this is day 2 I've worked this late, in a row.

I have to request less hours...I am losing too much sleep over this job. Otherwise I am uneffected.

I'm getting all of my work done in school, in fact I am actually reading a book at my own liesure right now. I'm not getting very far, because it's an old book and it's written in sailor's jargon, but it's a good book from what I can understand. I've read a few of the passages three or four times.

Also, it's rather late, and I couldn't come up with a catchy and creative title, so I just looked at the book sitting next to me, "Twilight Musings," and put Midnight instead. You all thought it was creative though, didn't you?

Oh yes, I suppose sinse it has been so long sinse my last post that none of you have heard about my fight.

I got in a fight with a fry basket. Well, that's when I found out that hot metal has an advantage over skin...the fact that it burns the skin might be it, but I'm not too sure. I do know this, it only takes a couple of seconds to created quite a burn. This one is an eighth of an inch wide and 2 and a half inches long. I just got through the peeling period, so now for a few weeks I'll have nice fresh pink skin there. That's going to be something I won't be able to forget for quite some time...if you know what I mean.

Otherwise, I'm going out to a camporee tomorrow. I'm not all too sure what it's about, so I'll hopfully update you Sunday before I go to work with the same rediculous hours as these past two nights. At least I requested tomorrow off...

I suppose I've said enough. If anyone is still reading at this point, pat yourself on the back. You're devoted readers, and I applaud you. This is the place where I should put some big secret that the lazy people would miss...hm...what to say...what to say...oh man...I don't know. Make something up for yourselves. Pretend I said something really cool right here, and tell everyone else that they need to update their blogs, because I'm starting to think that the whole "blogging" thing has gone out of style. It's a good thing that I never started for the fad in the first place.

And It's Been a While

Well, as you can see, it has been a while sinse the last time I posted. Actually, I've been quite busy, for I haven't been on the computer for my own leisure in over a week, closer to ten days.

Well here I am, wasting my life on this computer. I just finished my book, Don Quixote, and took my test on it this morning. I have come to the conclusion that I will never read a nine hundred page book for a report again. That was a hassel, though the book was amazing. The one problem, though, with my reading that book is that as of late I have been speaking in Old English. I have even been thinking oddly, my thoughts all sounding much like those of Don Quixote de La Mancha, of course without all of the insane thoughts of being a Knight Errant.

I have not written poem, lyric, verse, or anything else for that matter, except of course two articles for my journalism class, sinse the last time I posted.

Well, here I am, now almost a month sinse the last time I have written anything, in a long drag and stuck within writer's lag. I am hoping that now that my book is complete I will be able to sit back and have some free time. Hopefully with this free time I will be able to write down some of my thoughts, for I have many and none have been recorded in this past month.

On another note, I am excelling well in the Hot Dog Shoppe. I am currently working both friars and on grill 2. For all of you that do not know, grill 2 is the grill that prepares the hot dogs for the orders in. I am working now twenty five to thirty hours a week, though I may have to ask for a few less hours. We shall see in due time.

Otherwise, I have nothing left to say. Stay strong, and use your minds always and constantly, for without them we are all lost. Lastly, to quote Don Quixote himself, "You must consider what you are, seeking to know yourself, which is the most difficult task conceivable."
