Week Two: The Surprise Return

So, I was expected a day of rest and relaxation after a long week with a bunch of rowdy scouts today. Well, I got it, but not where I expected it. My dad showed up at a quarter to one this afternoon, and I got to leave! I wasn't expecting to come home, I thought we were just going to go out, get some REAL FOOD, and stop and pick up a few things that I need, but it ended up with me showing up here. Therefore, this is Josh typing, not my father. I'm spending tonight in my own bed, and though I didn't get to do my laundry today, and I didn't get to sleep fourteen hours like I planned, I had a fun day. I came home for two reasons. Reason number one was because there was not a single ARBY'S in Uniontown. Reason numer two was because my dad was going to see Click tonight with my uncle, and I wanted to see the movie and spend some time with my uncle. As I said before, this was a surprise return, so I did not get a chance to bring my notebook, which contains a poem that I have written in this past week, and one that I've been working on for two. I can't remember it word for word, so I'm sorry, but you're going to have to wait for the new poem. I'll give it to my dad next weekend and he'll publish it for all of my valued readers, which I just found out I have. Someone named Jen has been reading my poems, not sure who that is, but thanks Jen. Someone else, iChEeRaLoT, has at least read one of my posts. I'm hoping she'll keep reading as well. Yey! I have readers now. Well, I guess that's it. NO WAIT!!!! I almost forgot to talk about Click. Alright, for all of you that want to see it because it looks like a great movie, yeah, think twice. This definitely wasn't my favorite Adam Sandler movie. It wasn't very funny, and it's ending is sort of storybook. I don't want to give anything else away, but I thought that it was going to be better. Alright, that's everything. Later everyone. (much later, probably)

Final Touches

Hey, this will be my last post, at least probably, until August 16. I'm going again to summer camp for ten weeks this year, and of course there's no computer there. So, I'm here to make the final touches to my blog for this summer. There may or may not be posts here during the summer, posts about interesting going ons at camp, or poems that I have written, but they will not have been posted by me. Though the posts will be my thoughts, they will not have my heart, because I won't be able to post them personally, and I can't go off on my tangents if I'm not behind the keyboard. I hope you all have a great summer, and I can't wait to get back behind this keyboard and update you all on the great summer I've had. SCHOOL'S OUT!!...and I'm off to work. Ironical, ain't it?

The Great Finale

We all know that everything has to end with a Great Finale. A fireworks show always has a fantastic ending, and all the books I've ever read have a finale that wrap up the text. So, naturally, a school year has to end with FINALS!!! Alright, I'm not trying to complain, but eight finals in two days is kind of ridiculous. All of the teachers wanted to do the finals last week, so that we could do two a day for four days, and use this week for make up and finishing lessons. The finals were all clumped into two days, though, and I'm SO HAPPY that they are over. I just got back my final book analysis from my English teacher (we did our final early in her class because it took five days) and I got an A. Not only that, but out of the two CP English 10 classes, MY grade was ranked third, that's third out nearly forty students. I'm so happy that the stress of finals, and school for that matter, is over. Now all I have to stress about is camp, which I leave for on Friday, that's three days to pack. Guess what, camp has a Great Finale too, it's called clean up week, and I can definitely wait for it.
