Well, I know that I had said I would catch up when I got back to school, so I guess I'm a few weeks late. I should have posted a while ago, and I'm sorry. If you forgive me, I'd like to update you on how I've been lately.
I have already finished four weeks of class. I was expecting most of my classes to be harder than they actually are. The only class I'm having any struggle with is General Physics II. Calculus III is really easy so far, and I'm not expecting it to get harder. English Composition II hasn't been difficult, but our first essay is coming up. Educational Psychology is a joke. Discrete Structures, which I was expecting to be a geometry kind of class, is actually a mathematical theory kind of class. Although I never really liked geometry, mathematical theory is right up my alley. In fact, Discrete Structures is my favorite course so far this semester. The work is difficult, but not so much that I can't enjoy it. I know that my abstract math theory class is my favorite, but oh well; I love math.
Otherwise, the semester has been fairly stressful, just like always. I have been working thirty hours a week, on top of twenty hours of class and homework. Unfortunately, that doesn't leave a whole lot of time for other things. I haven't been sleeping well, and I've been tired a lot lately. Megan and I have had a few disagreements, and though we've resolved them all, they add to my stress when they're happening. Still, I find time for fun and recreational reading, and I am honestly having a good time.
I suppose the real reason I never updated until now is that there has been nothing to talk about. There still isn't. I mean, I've just been going through the motions for the most part. Nothing very interesting has happened. I guess I just wanted to put something new on here because I am attempting to avoid doing my physics homework. Speaking of which, I have been having a lot of trouble with my physics homework as of late, and I have been looking for every reason to avoid it. Most of the concepts of electrostatics make sense to me, but a few of them still allude me. I am attempting to grasp the concept of an electric potential, and what exactly capacitance is a measure of. Also, a lot of the math has gotten extremely complex, such as vector integrals over a changing direction. I like the class, but the homework is very stressful, and the wording in the book does not make it any easier, so I've been avoiding it and putting it off.
Well, I suppose I should get to my physics homework. I'll update again when something new happens.
Later,
Joshua
