I can't believe it's October already. This year has flown by so quickly.
Months ago now, but it still seems like just last week, I was married to the love of my life. Megan is a Laughlin now.
For those of you who may be wondering, married life has been fantastic. I have loved almost every minute of it. Though I must be honest: life hasn't really changed much yet. We are still in the same house living basically as we were before.
This month I was promoted again. I am now a full-fledged purchasing agent for TMI, LLC. Our company has been doing very well. I'm very happy to be able to continue growing with it.
What's been on my mind most lately, though, has been politics. More and more I've been considering getting involved. I still haven't learned when the community council meets. Maybe if I can figure it out soon I can start attending council meetings.
Watching this farce in D.C. this past few months has been difficult at best, down right insulting at worst. Seeing people in my news feed on Facebook post garbage has been bothering me almost as much. I don't care who's at fault for the problems we are facing. I care about honestly trying to fix our country. Our congressmen and women, as well as our president and the supreme court, however, don't seem so interested. I'm just frustrated watching it happen and feeling like I have no say in what could potentially be decisions that will seriously affect my life.
Otherwise, life has remained fairly routine. As I said, I cannot believe so much of this year has already passed? Soon we will be getting ready for Christmas, and I am not at all prepared to start thinking about 2014.
Well, I guess life doesn't wait. I will have to continue enjoying it as I can.
